Wear note: About 1.2 to 1.6 grams depending on length. The 16 inch length sits at the collarbone, and the 18 inch length falls just below it.
Care: Take it off before sleeping, showering, swimming, or working out. Put it on after perfume, lotion, and hairspray. Fine chains can kink if bunched up, so store it clasped and laid straight in a pouch. The spring ring clasp is small, so open it gently with a fingernail rather than pulling. Skip silver dips and abrasive polishing cloths, which can wear down the rhodium plating.

Rhodium is a precious metal in the platinum family. Fine jewelers use it to give white gold and sterling silver their bright, white finish, so it's a standard step in quality jewelry, not a shortcut.
